Welcome to Scout & Seek. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use. Scout & Seek is provided by Gina Lauver ("we," "us"). Please read these terms with your family — especially the Safety & Supervision section below.

⚠️ Safety & Supervision — please read

Scout & Seek is a fun activity, not a babysitter. It is not a childcare service, a supervision tool, or a substitute for the attention of a responsible adult. By using the app you understand and agree that:

Children should never be left alone while using the app. An adult must supervise children at all times during play.
Children should never go to unfamiliar or unsafe places — and should never leave home, a yard, a classroom, or a group — looking for items without a trusted adult.
Always stay aware of your surroundings. Watch for traffic, water, wildlife, weather, strangers, uneven ground, and other hazards. Do not let a hunt distract you or your child from staying safe.
Respect people, property, and nature. Do not trespass on private property, enter restricted areas, disturb wildlife, or remove things that aren't yours. Follow all local laws and posted rules.
You decide what is appropriate for your child, your location, and the weather and conditions. Some items or hunts may not be suitable everywhere — use your judgment and skip anything that isn't safe.
The app's suggestions are just ideas. Items, quests, and prompts are for fun and may not reflect what is safe or available in your specific environment.

You are solely responsible for the safety and supervision of any child who uses Scout & Seek. We are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that results from using the app, exploring the world, or failing to supervise a child.

Using the app

Scout & Seek is a scavenger-hunt app for families, classrooms, homeschoolers, and youth groups. Accounts must be created and managed by an adult (a parent, guardian, teacher, or group leader). You agree to use the app for its intended, lawful purpose and to supervise children while they play.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Please use first names only for children, and don't share personal information you wouldn't want stored.

Subscriptions, free trials & billing

Scout & Seek offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions: Premium ($4.99/month or $34.99/year) and Groups ($9.99/month or $79.99/year). Prices may vary by region.
Eligible subscriptions may include a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple ID is charged.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before each period ends.
You can manage or cancel anytime in your device's Apple ID settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
All payments are handled by Apple. Refunds are subject to Apple's policies.

Content you create

You may create your own quests and share them with your family or group using an invite code. You are responsible for the content you create and agree not to include anything unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate for children.

Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the app — for example, by attempting to break or interfere with it, using it to harm others, or violating any law. We may suspend access for misuse.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Scout & Seek is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep it working well, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, accurate, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gina Lauver and Scout & Seek are not liable for any injury, accident, loss, or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of the app, your activities while using it, or any failure to supervise a child. You use the app, and supervise your child, at your own risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
